Product Description

M5 is a sensored external ECM motor control board designed for OEM replacement and customized HVAC fan and blower applications. It provides a drop-in replacement solution for compatible ECM / BLDC motor control boards and supports 0–10V variable speed control, 3-speed control, RS485 communication and FG speed feedback. The driver board can be matched and configured for specific motors based on motor characteristics, target RPM, airflow requirements and HVAC equipment operating conditions. Designed for HVAC OEM replacement projects, M5 provides a flexible external motor driver solution for fan coil units (FCU), air handlers (AHU), PTAC/VTAC units, ERV/HRV systems and other HVAC fan and blower equipment.

Technical FAQ

Can M5 work with my existing ECM or BLDC motor?

Yes. M5 can be matched to compatible ECM / BLDC motors based on motor voltage, power, speed, electrical characteristics and application requirements. Send us your motor model, nameplate, drawing or specifications for an initial evaluation.

What motor power does the M5 ECM motor driver board support?

M5 is designed for HVAC ECM / BLDC motor applications up to 250W (≈1/3 HP). Actual compatibility depends on the motor characteristics and operating conditions.

What speed control options does M5 support?

M5 supports 3-speed control and 0–10V speed control. RS485 / Modbus communication can also be configured depending on the project requirements.

Can M5 control two motors at the same time?

Yes. M5 can support two similar or equivalent motors, typically 60–100W each, subject to motor matching and application verification.

Can the M5 parameters and firmware be customized for my motor?

Yes. M5 is not limited to a fixed motor configuration. Motor parameters, control logic and firmware can be configured according to the motor characteristics and HVAC application.

Can I request an M5 sample for motor matching and equipment testing?

Yes. Send us your motor information and application requirements first. Our engineering team can evaluate compatibility, configure the driver and prepare a matched sample for equipment testing.
